WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE YOUR IDC?
We offer regular IDC programs throughout the diving season, aligned with the PADI EMEA Instructor Examination calendar. Typical course months include May, June, September, and October.
Choose the dates that best fit your schedule and get in touch early to reserve your spot and plan your training.
We highly recommend arriving in advance to prepare onsite and get the most out of your IDC experience. As a PADI Career Development Center (CDC), we're equipped to guide you from any certification level—even if you're currently an Open Water Diver.

IDC PREREQUISITES
To enrol in the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), the following prerequisites apply:
- PADI Divemaster certification (or equivalent certification from another recognized diving agency), or
- At least six months of instructional experience with another certifying agency
- A medical clearance, signed and stamped by a licensed physician, dated within the last 12 months.
- Proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives
- Certification as a diver for at least six months
- Valid Emergency First Response (EFR) and First Aid certification within the past 24 months
What Are the Costs?
At SeaWorld Diving Center, we believe in going the extra mile for your success. Our IDC package is designed to provide everything you need for a seamless and enriching experience, so you can focus solely on your training. This package includes as listed below.
IDC PACKAGE Fee
This includes:
- 8 days of PADI IDC core training
- Personal IE preparation, and support throughout the Instructor Exam (IE)
- EFR Instructor Course
- Shared accommodation (*private accommodation available upon request)
- 3 meals per day
- Extra day of optional pre-IDC preparation
In our IDC program we also include if needed and free of charge:
- Unlimited access to our heated swimming pool for training
- Diving equipment for IDC and IE use free of charge
- Personalized tutoring by our resident Course Directors
- Transfers to and from Thessaloniki airport, Thessaloniki Harbor or bus station
- Access to wireless internet
- Guaranteed participation in the PADI IE**
- Dive Instructor CV and job interview review
- Workplace assistance workshop
- 3 PADI Specialty courses (Oxygen Provider, Nitrox, Digital Underwater Photography) (optional)

What you need to provide us with:
- PADI Medical Statement (signed and stamped by a physician within the last 12 months)
- PADI certification details for OWD, AOWD, Rescue Diver, Divemaster, and current EFR (not older than 2 years)
- Photocopies of all non-PADI certifications
- Proof of 100 logged dives
- EFR certification no more than 24 months prior to the IE

**PADI IE will be held directly after the IDC at Sani Resort in Halkidiki.
